Update, 10:00 a.m. EDT: The National Weather Service Storm Prediction Center is forecasting "a widespread severe weather outbreak" strong tornadoes, damaging winds and very large hail across parts of the southern and eastern U.S. Monday afternoon into Monday night. The greatest potential is across the lower Mississippi and Tennessee Valleys, the weather service said.

Update, 9:45 a.m. EDT: Two of the 10 fatalities reported in Arkansas' Faulkner were children.
"It's just devastating," Faulkner County Sheriff Andy Shock told WTHV-TV.
According to the network, "deputy coroners are scouring the area looking for people."
